Write Write Write

Welcome

Hope you will like my garden.
Planting : words for bulbs and plants, Gods' love and kindness for sturdy stems, poetry for healthy leaves, short stories for plant shape, help from friends for pruning, patience and persistance for beautiful blooms.
I am hoping and planning to grow a full fledged author, from this ground.

Stress Builds As December Arrives

Joy of the Season is here.
Christmas is on the way.
First snow today, Tuesday 6 December 2011.
On Friday 2 December 2011, I went to the Red Hats For Jesus, High Tea at the Garden Tea Room in Rogersville. It is located in HOMETOWN FURNITURE STORE. Wonderful time with these lovely ladies. Twenty-four in attendance. Delicious catered food, the room was set up beautifully for us. Singing, conversations and prayers. Good food, good friends what more could we ask?
Saturday 3 Dec., was Ozarks Romance Author's Meeting and Christmas Party. Great fun.
Allison gave us a glimpse at her "steam punk" novel, in critique hour.
Monday, 5 Dec., Elsie Myers and I got together to write on a story together. Her home is decorated so warm and cozy for Christmas.
We are hoping to grow our Writers group. Please join us for our next meeting.
Wednesday 7 December 2011 (PEARL HARBOR DAY), Mabel Masters will speak for THE QUILL AND INK CLUB. We meet at the Webster County Library at 3 PM. Please Join Us.
Mabel has compiled the Northview Book and it's proceeds are going to the Historical Society Museum that is located in the Historical Carnagie Library Building at the Corner of Jackson and Clay Streets in Marshfield. The Carnagie Building celebrated its 100 Anniversary this year 2011. It is empowering to know that our Webster County Library system is still going strong 100 years later. We have had really good leadership. Terry York, has added many programs to our newly re-decorated large library. Knitting and sewing, computer classes and iris card making,a music program for young people, and many other interesting ways to give people the incentive to use the library on a regular basis.
Thursay 8 December is CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL Committee meeting. Remember to mark your calendars for 26,27.28 APRIL 2012 CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL. You can visit our website to see what has happened in the past years and what we are planning for 2012.

CALLING ALL CHERRY PIE CONTESTANTS---Start practicing those favored recipes! We hope to have a great number of cherry pies to judge this year. Pies are auctioned off after the contest. If you don't enter a pie buy one! Your family will thank you.
One of my favorite events is the Cherry Blossom Festival English High Tea, put on by the Trinity Catholic Church ladies. They do it so right! My Red Hat group comes from several areas to attend because it is very special.
SATURDAY 10 Decemmber 2011 is the Sleuth's Ink Mystery Writers Meeting and Christmas Party. We meet at 10 AM, the Second Saturday Monthly at the Library Station on Kansas Expressway just off I-44. We started JANO write 50,000 words in January. 2012
will be our third year to do this. Several have completed it. It is great fun and a real boost to your writing process. Please join us this next year. Info on Sleuth's Ink website.
Congrats to all who finished NANOWRIMO. Nano is National Novel Writers Month. Fifty thousand words written in thirty days.
I started didn't finish. Stress!(Stress that makes you want to keep doing something to the end is not bad), I am going to keep trying NANO and JANO until I win! Win= finish the 50,000 words in a month.
The rest of the calendar month is full too. Thank You God, for good friends and interesting things to be involved in doing.
God Bless You.
Merry Christmas
Jan

I was just interviewed on KMRF RADIO 1510 AM, Marshfield, MO., by Cris Wyly and met his wife Pat and their assistant Melva. Elsie Myers went with me. I told about THE QUILL AND INK CLUB meeting at the Webster County Library the first Wednesday of the month, at 3 PM. We have speakers lined up for the next three months. Please come out and make it worth their while to come and speak for us. We want this group to grow in size and knowledge.

Two Friends Fighting For Life

Tonight one friend Jean is in the intensive care at Cox Hospital.
She is surrounded by family and friends. We are all praying for her.
We believe in the healing power of Jesus. Jean is part of our JEWELS Breakfast Club and is in our Red Hat Group. She enjoys her Church and always brings good homemade food for the monthly PRIME TIME Senior get togethers. Often we have said to each other: "God has Blessed us with such good families and friends."

Another Friend Char is now home from the Hospital. She has been in this fight against cancer for several years now. She is a great testimony of Gods healing.
Joy has been her great gift to us. No matter how many times she goes back for more treatments, she always gives us a smile and something to be thankful about. Eight years ago she started our Red Hat group, RED HATS FOR JESUS. She serves us as our "QUEEN MUM." What fun and devotional times we enjoy together.

I am sure everyone has times like this where several emotional stress' are being applied at the same time. My Prayer is that: We will call on our knowledge of God's word and draw our strength from Jesus. MAY GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU.

Chasing Maria

Nancy B. Daily, is a friend from several Springfield Writers Groups.
I hope you will help her follow her dream. I have heard some of the story she
has already written and the book will be a wonderful addition to all of our libraries. A great gift to share knowledge with others.
This is a wonderful way to fund her project. I am asking you to help her raise the funds for this important fact finding trip to the Rain Forrest.

About Me

My photo
My son,Ken,recently retired after 20 years service in the U.S. Navy. I am very proud of him. Good Friends are a Blessing. Red Hats for Jesus is a fun group, so glad to have this fellowship. The Wednesday Breakfast Club(JEWELS)brought me many wonderful friends. Each one is Special. The Weekly Writers Guild is a very important part of my life. I am the leader, since Nicholas, had to give it up to work more hours. Thanks for passing the torch to me. Emma, Elsie, Claudette, Judy, Betty Jo, I enjoy writing  with you. New interest for us has been gained from joining with other writers at their meetings. Hope to gain lots of new friends there.
