Hope you will like my garden. Planting : words for bulbs and plants, Gods' love and kindness for sturdy stems, poetry for healthy leaves, short stories for plant shape, help from friends for pruning, patience and persistance for beautiful blooms. I am hoping and planning to grow a full fledged author, from this ground.
November has been a hard month for us. We lost several good friends. MARION PHILPOTT passed away, Monday 1 November 2010 at Webco Manor Marshfield,MO. She had been fighting Cancer. Marion won Women's' Rights ahead of the movement at Colgate where she retired after many years. Her sister Emogene and Family,Friends and Dog Tuffy, miss her. Marion's Funeral was Wednesday 3 November 2010. At the same time at another location Barbara's husband, DILLARD BURGESS' funeral was going on. Thursday 4 Nov. we lost MARGARET GOLDEN. She was also at Webco Manor. As past President of The Gold Star Mother's Organization She was a Backup Singer at the Webster County Opry. (The OPRY Shows are at the Rogersville Senior Center on the First Friday Monthly, 6 P.M.) Margaret was in a bowling league. She was buried Sunday. She lost a son in Viet Nam. Our friend, her daughter, Linda Hill passed away earlier this year. She has a son and his family who miss her, along with her friends. Other FRIENDS lost a baby. We mourn with them. Sunday 26 November 2010 My hairdresser, Susie Farr lost her son KEVIN WAUGH, in an auto accident. As I was writing this a phone call let me know that another OPRY friend, ERMA PRICE has passed away today. She was at Webco also. Her funeral will be Tuesday 7 December 2010. Erma and Her husband Otto,J.R.Dishman, and Lloyd Wester were a group called THE ECHOES OF THE OZARKS. They were very popular at the Opry. She will be missed. Our Webster County Opry friends along with JEWELS BREAKFAST CLUB group will miss them all and be thankful to have known these great people. Our hope is in the Lord and we are sure we will meet them again. God Bless all who read this. Hold your friends near and let them know they are loved.
My son,Ken,recently retired after 20 years service in the U.S. Navy. I am very proud of him.
Good Friends are a Blessing. Red Hats for Jesus is a fun group, so glad to have this fellowship.
The Wednesday Breakfast Club(JEWELS)brought me many wonderful friends. Each one is Special.
The Weekly Writers Guild is a very important part of my life. I am the leader, since Nicholas, had to give it up to work more hours. Thanks for passing the torch to me. Emma, Elsie, Claudette, Judy, Betty Jo, I enjoy writing with you. New interest for us has been gained from joining with other writers at their meetings. Hope to gain lots of new friends there.

Thank You Len. Everyone enjoyed
your thorough information. Margie
hope you are feeling better.
3 March 2010
We will read and critique stories
submitted to us. No vulgar or
obscene language, explicit sex or
gory murder scenes. You can use
in your book, not in our sessions.
One to three pages, double spaced.
Twelve copies. Everyone will read
along as the author reads aloud.
Then they will make suggestions
on your pages and return them to
you. This is only to help in
preperation for submission to
markets. Or to help you write a
tighter story. Bring out the very
best in your writing. No speaker
this month. More contest and
submission locations will be
discussed. Everyone interested
in writing is invited.
2 June 2010
Sheriff Roy Cole has been rescheduled. Probably no snow this time of year.
March, April and May he will have been attending Crime Scene Classes.
Make sure to bring others. If you ever write about law enforcement in your book, or short story, this will be valuable information, to keep in your reference files.
