Write Write Write

Welcome

Hope you will like my garden.
Planting : words for bulbs and plants, Gods' love and kindness for sturdy stems, poetry for healthy leaves, short stories for plant shape, help from friends for pruning, patience and persistance for beautiful blooms.
I am hoping and planning to grow a full fledged author, from this ground.

Viola Weeks 100 Years Old Passed Away Tonight

We lost a good kind friend a couple of hours ago. Didn't want to see her suffer.
She had many friends and family, who will miss her. She," couldn't see very good and hearing was a problem." so she took hold of your arm and you were a willing, captive audience. Her grip was strong. Talking was one of her favorite things, always interesting. The Fiddle or Violin playing will be heard in our minds for years to come. Her grandson has had her violin, for a couple of years, since she went into the Nursing Home. On her 100 th Birthday, Nicholas Inman and several of her friends went to Webco Manor, to celebrate with her. Otto Price, let her play his fiddle and we were afraid, "she didn't want to give it back, after she played several songs." She played for years with the OLDER AMERICAN BAND, in and around Marshfield. She was an Original Cast Member of the Webster County Opry. The Opry had it's 12 th Anniversary,in April 2009. Viola, loved the Lord Jesus. Now she is at rest no more pain and strife. Her mother lived to be 105 years old, we thought Viola would, too.

Writer's Guild and Book Signing

Yesterday, 22 August 2009, Elsie, Claudette, Betty Jo and I, had a nice adventure. The trip to and from Springfield, held much beauty, enjoyed the green trees, grass and the colorful flowers along the road. At the Heritage, Pat Woodward greeted us. Glad to see someone we had met before.
The Springfield Writer's Guild, had a good speaker, Ellen Gray Massey.
I bought a book from Nick Weyland and forgot to ask him to sign it!
All of us thought we learned a lot. Each of the groups we have visited has given so much different information. Thanks. We also went to Springfield Borders book signing for Karen Casselberry, of Springfield. Her book, is for children 10 and up. We arrived home safe, happy and tired.

SCARE OF THE DAY

My story was good. Betty Jo and I went to the Sleuth's Ink Meeting in July. We were encouraged to, "Submit,Submit,Submit." After edit, edit, edit, I read my story, to The Weekly Writers Guild. I was advised to leave out, "that sentence." OK, more edit. READY ! Mail Monday.
Sunday, I bought the magazine, that I was sending my story.
Opened to the page my story would be printed, when accepted. Got a big SCARE ! In a few words IT WAS MY STORY! I threw down the magazine.
Disappointment, reproach, I had been setting on this one a long time, if
I had sent it out...I wouldn't cry. Today, picked up the magazine to find out how it was different from mine. It wasn't my story at all! YEA ! I can go ahead and send it on schedule.

NOW, I KNOW

In times so hard
By grief and pain, I was marred.
They say to me;
"Time heals all, you'll see."
All things work for good, to them that love God."
May you find, the peace that passeth understanding."
Joy cometh in the morning."

Healing, good, peace, joy?
How could it be?
What are they saying to me?

In the years that have passed
I wondered at what had happened, at last.
When did it come to me?
How did I finally see?
I have the healing.
I have the peace.
I have the joy.
God, has worked His wonders.
Now, I know what they were saying to me.

THE RAIN IS COMING

The wind is blowing.
The leaves are turned up for a drink.
The fluffy clouds are still white.
The sun, behind the clouds, is glowing.

The wind is blowing.
The air around us is flowing.
The sound of the wind is soothing.
The clouds are gently gathering.

The wind is blowing.
The leaves are softly moving.
The clouds with rain are filling.
The rain is coming.

CHANGE

CHANGE,CHANGE,CHANGE
ALWAYS MAKES ME FEEL STRANGE.
FASTER AND FASTER OUR WORLD MOVES
GOD'S REVELATION IT PROVES.
KNOWLEDGE INCREASED
DISASTER RELEASED.
THE BAD NEWS WE HEAR
JUST MEANS OUR GOD IS NEAR.
YEAR 2000 MILLENNIUM
HOW INTRIGUING, EXCITING, AND GRAND
DON'T LET FEAR GET OUT OF HAND.
NO ONE KNOWS WHEN GOD WILL COME.
SO MANY PREDICTIONS BEING FULFILLED
GOD WON'T COME TIL ALL IS DONE.
BE READY WHENEVER HE APPEARS
TODAY, TOMORROW, OR ANOTHER THOUSAND YEARS.

About Me

My photo
My son,Ken,recently retired after 20 years service in the U.S. Navy. I am very proud of him. Good Friends are a Blessing. Red Hats for Jesus is a fun group, so glad to have this fellowship. The Wednesday Breakfast Club(JEWELS)brought me many wonderful friends. Each one is Special. The Weekly Writers Guild is a very important part of my life. I am the leader, since Nicholas, had to give it up to work more hours. Thanks for passing the torch to me. Emma, Elsie, Claudette, Judy, Betty Jo, I enjoy writing  with you. New interest for us has been gained from joining with other writers at their meetings. Hope to gain lots of new friends there.
